Danchenko Violin Masterclass

Renowned violinist and teacher, Victor Danchenko (violin faculty at Peabody Institute) works with Duncan Steele on the first movement of Symphonie Espagnole by Lalo. 

Topics covered include shifting, bow distribution, "unnecessary" glissandi and and overview of the meaning and character of the piece.

Duncan Steele is a student of Stacia Spencer at the String Academy of Northwestern University. This class was part of the Violin Pedagogy Weekend 2014 which was held at Peabody Institute under the auspices of the Preparatory department.
